Temi (MINE)- Poem

The world should witness this pact I sign

And trace the design

As I stand before all, triumphant with glory

At last by grit I won the trophy.

The moon smiles down upon my reign

“The conqueror that emerged from the enormous plain”

To bring new dimensions into love’s gimmicks

Organized by cupid through heart- blossoming lyrics

Was it my tender wit or enticing ego?

The will to be a man or her serving hero

That swayed her feelings to echo my name?

Or was it the purity of the flesh in my chest

The audible rhythm of beat at its crest

That makes her feel as much, the same

Or the charming smile on her face

Which makes her look beautiful?

These and more I cannot answer

So I’ll let this phobia free

What matters is that the feeling is mutual

And she is forever…Temi

A Bid For Change- Poem

We wish to make a wish,
And our wish for now is change,
Our sons and daughters are dying,
Our kith and kin are suffering,
Including our awaiting rain
That is about to fall.

In the womb of her mother
You can hear her call,
A call which is for us all
Not only have midwives fathomed it
We amateurs can as well see through
As she will not stop until her victory is sustained.

Since hands still exist
And the tongue never gets sick
They are to work for a purpose
Assigned to them by divine nature

If to the manifold to be beheld,
We will not be sick to make a move;
If to a level of meeting our end
We will win,
We wouldn't hesitate
To take a bold step

For we are Nigerian future leaders
And want nothing but a better Nigeria.
We only have a unique manifesto,
It is a bid of change for a better Nigeria.

One Nigeria, where Peace and Justice shall reign
